Almost time!

Hi all!

Welcome to the TeamCebu2016 blog.  We are very excited to share our experiences as we travel to Cebu, Philippines to serve alongside our church partner there, Quest Fellowship Church. We will be traveling from October 14th-24th.

The scope of our trip has changed since we originally put the team together.   Originally we had planned to do a construction project at Tarong Elementary School on Bantayan Island.

You may have seen on the news that the Philippines had some bad storms earlier this summer that caused flooding throughout the Philippines including on the island of Cebu.  The flooding caused major damage to the office space Quest Church has been using which led to the need to look for another location.  At the same time the lease on Quest's current location was coming due and the negotiations were more difficult than expected.  Luckily God provided in their time of need.  They were able to find a new location that will be able to be used for their offices and for their worship services.

Our team will help prepare the new building for Quest to move in to the new space within the next month.  We will be performing various construction/painting projects including preparing the rooms that will be used for their children's environments.  The members of our team are uniquely qualified for the work we will be performing.  We believe this was God's plan all along.

The good news is Quest was able to acquire funding that will allow them to hire a construction team to complete the work at Tarong Elementary School we had originally planned to do.

We look forward to sharing our journey with you and will do our best to provide updates every day.
